Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

1. Free Trial

New firms can try the App at no cost during the trial period. No payment information is required to start a trial. You will not be charged unless you choose to subscribe at the end of the trial.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans (Starter, Pro, and Enterprise) are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor. Your subscription renews automatically each billing cycle until you cancel.

3. Cancel Anytime

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page in the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. We do not require notice periods beyond the current paid period.

4. Refunds

  • Within 14 days of a new subscription or upgrade: If you have not materially used the App beyond evaluation, you may request a full refund of that payment.
  • Annual plans: If you chose annual billing, you may request a pro-rated refund for the unused full months remaining, within 14 days of the annual charge.
  • Renewals: Because we send renewal reminders and you can cancel before renewal, recurring monthly charges after the first 14 days are non-refundable. Cancel before your next billing date to avoid the next charge.

5. How to Request a Refund

Contact our support team with your firm name and the charge in question. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

6. Plan Changes

Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated for the remaining billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period so you keep paid features until then.

7. Account Closure and Data Access

After cancellation, your data remains accessible for a limited grace period so you can export it. Once access closes, your data is deleted per our Data Processing Agreement. We do not retain client financial data beyond what is needed to provide the service or required by law.

8. Contact

For refunds, cancellations, or billing questions, contact TaxWorkpaper AI support.

Final refund terms may vary by jurisdiction and any signed customer agreement. Confirm your chargeback and renewal-reminder processes with your payment processor.
